Flexibility USSA TEAM Academy supports the USSA's best in the world athletic vision by promoting educational and character development through the integration of mobile , flexible and vigorous academic programs. Students are able to select courses they are interested in, including AP courses, and with the support and guidance of TEAM Academy, build their individualized academic success plan. USSA TEAM Academy headmaster and faculty actively monitor the students’ academic and athletic demands to proactively maintain a balance of focus and completion. Blended Learning Students at USSA TEAM Academy are at the forefront of a new style of learning. USSA TEAM Academy utilizes a blended model of live teaching and virtual learning to provide an educational solution. Elite student athletes no longer need to work around traditional views and schedules. The educational model of the USSA TEAM Academy pairs traditional classroom education in the Center of Excellence with innovative technology-driven learning, allowing customizable programming to best meet the needs of each elite student athlete. USSA TEAM Academy courses and schedules are personalized to the interest and ability level of each student athlete; superblocks of intense study time are balanced with minimized weeks of academic focus, while students are traveling and competing extensively. Students who wish to take AP classes are able to do so with ease. USSA TEAM Academy students have rigorous training and travel schedules; the course assignments and completion goals are designed around that need. Students work load is paced so they have the ability to work ahead of schedule, and connect when traveling, to capture learning moments when it is most convenient to their schedule. Personalized Academic Planning Each student enrolled in USSA TEAM Academy has a personalized academic success plan. This planning includes student and parent interviews, graduation plans, core courses, electives, and selection in courses specific to USSA TEAM Academy. The student and parents have input in elective courses, AP opportunities, and course loads. There is flexibility to weight the schedule based on athletic seasons, travel and training needs, and competition schedules.
